How long should I practice?
For optimal results, aim for 3 sessions per day, each lasting 5 minutes. We recommend practicing at least once a day (morning is best) or anytime you feel stressed, angry or anxious. The more you do it the better the results!
Do I need special equipment to practice?
No, just a quiet space and your breath! The Coherence app will guide you through the steps. Can’t find a quiet place? no problem, put on some earbuds and use the sounds to isolate you from the outside noises and find some peace.
What if I can’t hold my breath for 5 seconds?
Start with shorter inhales and exhales and gradually increase as you get comfortable. You can change the breathing length in the Coherence app settings.
What if my mind wanders during practice?
It’s natural that your mind wonders after a few breaths. Gently bring your attention back to the moving sun or your breath without judgment. Follow the messsage cues to help focus back on what you are doing instead of being lost in thought.
Should I focus on my heart or my breath?
Focus on your breath and the moving object, and the heart will naturally fall into a coherence state.
How quickly will I see results?
Some feel immediate benefits like calmness and relaxation, while others experience gradual changes over time. Be patient and consistent with your practice. The more you do it the better the results!
